I'm SO far behind in our family
blogging. I'm going to have to do
some serious back tracking....
one of these days.
It's a good thing that I've been
so busy.  It just gets a little hard
to keep up on non-critical things.

I took these a week ago,
when we were visiting in Logan.
Maranda and Caitlyn have been friends
literally
from the day they were born.
It's so fun to watch these girls grow up.
We have been gone from Logan
for almost ten years.
However,
every time we go back
for a visit -
no matter how quick -
it's like these two have never been apart.
I love it.
I love them.
Friends are good.
I'm so lucky to have so many.
I'm glad my daughter is so lucky too.

love you pootie and lynnie.

Cayenne's Birthday

Cay's 12th birthday was clear back
at the beginning of May -
but we just got a hold
of this photo, so we're finally posting it.
For Cay's birthday,
she was able to go to a book
signing for one of our family's favorite
book series -
We were all jealous,
but so VERY excited for Cayenne.
Happy Birthday Cay!!!

THEY ARE UP.
Mexico photos are up on Facebook, HERE.  If you do not have a FB account, sorry.  There's over 200 pictures.  Not gonna blog that many.  Maybe a couple, in another post - on another day.  However, for today, I'm DONE sitting at the computer.
xoxoxo

Ok, dumb.  My goal was to finish editing one set of family photos, and then up date my personal blog today. I accomplished the photos, but now it's 11 p.m., and I have nothing left in me today! But I can't go to bed without finishing what I set out to do!!! The guilt of not finishing will keep me up all night.  So this is nothing more than a Facebook status, I'm afraid.  I WILL update. I WILL post Mexico pictures. I WILL post all the fun things my kids have been doing. I WILL DO IT!!!!

                                                                                                                 .....tommorrow.

Ok, Just kidding....

I thought I wouldn't post again, but I couldn't wait on this.  We have had a LOT
of moisture lately, mostly in the form of snow.  However, it has rained non-stop for the last
3 days.  In fact, my basement is in the process of drying, after we've cleaned up the
water and mud. (yuck, long story, don't want to discuss that mess!)
Anyway, today I received an emergency phone call, (recording) informing that there had been
a diesel spill in the river. Apparently, a rock slid down and knocked the train right off the track.
No city water has been affected, but they have shut off the
valves to the river, so until the diesel is cleaned up and passed, they won't be taking in more water.
So, we're on conservation mode.  A short time later, I received a picture text of the train wreck.
Ok, so I have a camera, right? I mean, this is what I do? And, I'm just a LITTLE curious....
and it's just 3 miles from my house.... so....
yeah. I had to go.

Oh I am so sick.
But I CAN'T be sick.
I leave for Cancun in six days!
(ok, Kamille,
PLAYA DEL CARMEN!!)
Same deal.....
anyway..
I have way too much to do to
get ready.
AND I DON'T WANT
TO FEEL YUCKY
ON VACATION!
Not sure what's going on.
I'm thinking a sinus infection.
yuck.

Between feeling gross,
and having a "to-do-list"
a mile long, this post will be a
little jumbled.
But it's important to post this.
See, I have a couple new people waiting....
patiently.....
to see......
if I'll put up pictures......
of their missionary!
hahhaha!!!!

(hang tight Kaysville crew!
I'll get there!)

We've been having the Elder's over quite a bit lately.
And it just so happened, that I connected with
one of their 'friends'
on facebook.
Gosh I love facebook.

Mmmmwwuhahaha......
(it is an evil little website!)
i.love.it.
(like his pink lips?  Yup. Every time. He likes Crystal Light.)

So, Since one of the Elders isn't doing his job,
and sending enough photos home,
I just HAVE to oblige.
(hee hee)

hahahah!!!
Oh, I love blogging too!

Alright, let me explain....
Good ole Elder 'S' loves to steal my camera when he's here.

He's pretty close to going home.
Like,
REALLY CLOSE.
And the
OTHER ONE....

Elder 'W',
well, he's just getting started.
sortof.
Anyway,
we LOVE having them over.
They goof around with my kids.

they goof around with my CAMERA.....
grrr.....

they DID make me a sweet desert for Mother's Day!

(funny thing about this one, none of them knew the others were making faces! haha!)

they generally just goof around my house.....

But I have to say,
having these Young Men in our home,
(at LEAST once a week)
has been a true joy for our family.
They have taught us lessons.
(we enjoy when our kids ask them hard questions,
and get them a little flustered...
it's just preparation, right?)
They do sharing time for me in Primary
whenever I ask them to.
They come do service hours for us..
(yay!)
They are wonderful examples for our kids.
They challenge us.
*sigh*
It has been a good reminder for our family
what Grandma and Grandpa Cook will be heading out to do...
And we hope that there will be cool families in California,
that will feed all the missionaries that
Grandma & Grandpa are in charge of.

Mother's Day, overall, was a good day.
Miraculously,
I only had to accompany the primary kids
during Sacrament meeting....
AND I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING ELSE!
It was awesome to go to church and
kind-of have a break!
We came home,
and all the kids looked so good -
AND THE SUN WAS SHINING-
so we took advantage,

*blush*
oh my man is such a stud.
It was a big weekend for Brinlee too -
Her first
SLEEPOVER!

Sweetie little six year old girls.
They had SO much fun!

And.....
I guess I'll end with that.

Probably won't post again.
Until I have photos from
MEXICO!!
hahahah!!

This is a shot out my
side window the afternoon
of the snow storm, as it
moved out.
